Computer services designed around the way you live & work!

Wade Johansen - (Owner) Couri Technology has been a Carroll County resident since 1999.

The expectation of any IT shop owner is that they have a vast amount of knowledge on IT subjects! Also, it has to be more than just knowledge of words on paper - it has to be a realized and continuing goal... if they are to achieve success.

  • Our owners first computer job (1982) was as a circuit board technician for a PC manufacturer, only 1 year after the first personal computer was made available to the public. He still maintains contact (even now) with the first factory owner that manufactured those boards, and which had built "tens of thousands" of PCs while in production. It shows a true commitment of friendship and service.

Mr. Johansen is recognized by county residents as a leader in the field of IT information services by many of his peers. There are a number of other IT organizations that call on his expertise often for advice.

Couri Technology believes in helping the community as well!

As part of our effort to help others, Wade joined (and is a current member of) the Carroll Technology Council! "CTC" as it is referred to is an organization which helps promote technology throughout the Carroll County region.

Mr. Johansen is also is an instructor for Carroll Community College in Westminster, MD where he teaches computer training classes home or small business PC users, and has done so for multiple locations.

  • As a working parent, he is also devoted to his wife and children but still manages to extend free time helping local organizations in need of technology guidance. He also helps companies promote better learning through technology.

Mr. Johansen is an active participant in helping community members, businesses and local employee programs enlist "tele-commuting" programs that provide opportunities to individuals to work remotely from their homes with their employers and help the environment utilize "green technology"

  • Tele-commuting also helps individuals with disabilities, parents or or even children who are working in (or are living in) hospice care, allow others who may need to spend more time with their families - build better workforces. It takes advantage of technology learning initiatives that are currently available and promotes better use of emerging advances in the filed of IT "remote support" advancement services.

Mr. Johansen holds an AAS degree (Associates in Applied Sciences), and is also a Board Certified - Microsoft Network Administrator. Among his multiple partnerships with computer vendors & companies such as Dell, HP, Compaq, IBM, McAfee, Symantec and more.

Mr. Johansen maintains more than 35 National Certifications with multiple disciplines.

He also has served as a recognized "SME" (Subject Matter Expert) for the computer certification exam industry leader Comp-TIA and participated in the test development of the following certification exams:
