Hard Drive Installation Warranty Terms and
Conditions - Some Restrictions Apply
Data protection and backup is the
sole responsibility of the customer! Back up all of your necessary files
prior to (and after) any services are performed.
In no event does Couri Tech assume
liability for, nor does Couri Tech assume responsibility for (or agree to)
warrant or guarantee against the loss of data "under
any circumstance".
Couri Tech also does not provide "any"
attempt to retrieve or otherwise recover lost data due to hardware, software or
other types of failure as may be experienced (either)
during or after
an installation or upgrade has occurred.
Repair or replacement costs of hardware (and) associated
labor costs on all installed hard drives that are purchased through (either)
manufacturer direct, third party vendors, or through other retail outlet sources
that are not "directly associated" with Couri Tech are
not
warranted!
Unless a manufacturers warranty provides it
in their "written guarantee" that the installation costs in the event of failure
is covered (and) that the replacement guarantee for any hardware installer
associated labor costs are "agreed to be met and paid for" by the manufacturer
in the event of failure;
(then) Couri Tech assumes no responsibility
or obligation to provide replacement services or hardware, unless specifically
agreed to in writing or contract documentation, as must be signed for previous
to the installation of such hardware.
- If the manufacturer warranty does warrant and
provide for payment to the installation provider for associated replacement fees
or labor costs, it must do so at the current and posted In-Store hourly rate of
services of Couri Tech "as is posted" in our retail store at all times, at the
time of subsequent services being rendered.
- In the event of manufacturer guarantee for "service
replacement fees being applied for or paid, then all " re-installation" or other
associated labor/hardware costs as may be included in the manufacturers warranty
must be paid directly to the customer and the customer must make that payment to
Couri Tech before the equipment will be given back to the customer.
- It is hereby noted that it is the customers sole
responsibility for directly obtaining the (re) payment or re-imbursement
directly from the manufacturer for associated replacement costs of non-factory
installed and warranted hardware and software claims.
"In no event"
- will Couri Tech be held responsible for filing for, or seeking payment from
the manufacturer, insurance provider or "third party" hardware vendor on behalf
of the customer for equipment purchased elsewhere other than Couri Tech,
(and/or) unless it is still considered to be under warranty for the hardware
that was installed as agreed to in contractual agreement with Couri Tech.
- All hard drives that are installed, that are not purchased
through Couri Tech are guaranteed or certified by the manufacturer of the drive
only.
- Couri Tech assumes no responsibility for shipping or
handling costs, or re-stocking fees as may be associated with returning or
handling of the return merchandise authorization (RMA).
All hard drives installed that are marked "re-certified" by
manufacturer are not returnable past the first 15 days of installation, and
Couri Tech assumes no responsibility for the failure of
any factory re-certified drives at any time.
- It is the customers responsibility to assume all liability
or guarantee that drives purchased elsewhere - are not re-certified drives.
- prior to installation being performed. In the event of
hardware failure of any "non Couri Tech" purchased drive, the customer is solely
responsible for obtaining a replacement for the equipment.
- Couri Tech assumes no responsibility to repair, replace or
re-install software or hardware as a result of failure due to abuse, neglect,
viral infection, physical or logical damage caused by power disruption or "acts
of God" - without charging for labor (and/or) replacement hardware costs.
